My wife and I just finished a blog entry with all the information you would need to plan a trip to the Farne Islands, UK

 

You can still make it this year but the season is rapidly ending with fewer birds around. Puffins are fledging and most other in smaller numbers.

Mid June would be the peak time, with a couple of more weeks being great. All depends on what your after. Puffins landing with fish, need to

have chicks born.

 

This is a pleasant trip you can do on your own (no need for being guided), with plenty to do besides birds, can take it easy or hard core. We chose the easy way and got

lots of keepers.

I have finally found some quiet time so I could sit (undisturbed) and read your blog about the Puffins! It's an excellent read and a wealth of valuable information for anyone who is contemplating going to the UK to see/photograph the Puffins! Terrific photography as well!!! Now my "bucket list" has just become longer! LOL
